Ryde Main Carnival is the second of the carnival’s that Ryde Carnival Association stage. On a warm summers evening locals and visitors line the streets to get a taste of what’s to come, friends old and new meet and have fun. Come and join us for Ryde’s second carnival of the season.

4.45 pm Assemble Esplanade & Canoe Lake

5.15 pm Judging

6.15 pm Procession moves off

Tableux should report to control point at the bottom of East Hill road.

  • A5 – Pedestrians from Organisations & Others – Medal
  • B – Ryde and Street District – Medal
  • C – Youth Organisations and Clubs – Medal
  • D – Carnival Queens, Village and Other Queens – Cup
  • E – Miscellaneous entry – Medal
  • F – Decorated cycle, Motor cycle, Handcart – Medal
  • G – Humorous Entry – Medal
  • H – Associations , Clubs (Adult ) and Pub Entry – Medal
  • J – Trade – Medal

Challenge Cups are awarded to all classes.

Special Awards – The Bert Ivin Memorial Cup – for the Best Entry in the Procession
Special Awards – Southern Vectis Challenge Cup for Best Constructed Entry
The Jacobs Cup – for the Best Floral Entry (real or artificial)
