Thanks to all the young ladies and their parents who came for the dress fitting and health & safety briefing this evening and short dance practice. You all look really beautiful in your dresses. Our thanks to Lindsey McFarlane & Marie Sanderson for all your hard work getting the dresses and two Yeoman costumes ready and for the final tweaks you’re doing for us. They look so elegant in them.
Many thanks to Paula and Mark for your tireless work with getting the choreography and music sorted for the girls, and especially to Paula for making the chockers and lovely fur hair scrunchies, they worked really well with the costumes. When I did manage to join you for the dance practices I really enjoyed the music and the choreography. I really portrays the essence of the Queens 60 years on the throne. I’m sure that the public will love the tableaux this year. Hopefully we may win a cup or two!!
The committee and me are really looking forward to you all performing at the first carnival tomorrow evening. It looks as if the weather will be perfect and I know you will do Ryde proud. Enjoy performing for our town and the Ryde Carnival Association. Also don’t forget the exciting invitation that you have all received from the V-Dub Festival you all deserved that for all your hard work!!
